Call of duty problem

Hi,i have got i problem,when i run call of duty,after playing it a couple of mins my pc just freezes,and i can't do anything.It happened with Enemy territory too,but i saw thread about crashing pc during game,and have done all what ppl said.It worked.But for Call of duty still nothing.Help me please.
My pc specifications:
p4 3.2 GHZ,1 gig ram kingston,ASUS p4p800 deluxe,ATI Saphire Radeon 9600 pro 256 mb.126 gig HDD
