I'm having a problem with opening of a readme file ;D . The file is not .txt format. Properties: "Type of file: MSInfo Document. Open with : System information." But when I click on it, it says "System information cannot open this NFO file. It might be corrupted or an unrecognised version." So when i click OK it basically opens a sys info window. same thing happens with any file of this type I try to open. The files are readme files that come together with some progs I dl.

nfo files are just text files, you can safely rename them as .txt and open them with notepad, or - you can download a program called DAMN NFO Viewer (do a google search) .. which preserves formatting (alot of nfo files have all kinds of ascii art in them that notepad will mangle)

Or you can reassociate the .nfo extension with notepad/wordpad by right clicking on the file with the shift key held, and selecting "Open with." Find notepad/wordpad in the list, check the box that says "Always use this program to open this type of file" and then hit OK.
