Flashing a ATi 9700 non pro to a ATI 9700 PRO

I just bought a ATi 9700 non pro off ebay for £45 and im wondering if I could 'safely' flash it to a 9700PRO? Ohh im upgrading it from a Fx5200 and it comes tomorrow, :D [/FONT]

    I'd recommend using an overclocking utility to run it at 9700 PRO speeds and then try some 3D benchmarks to make sure the card can handle it. Nothing worse than flashing and having it crash continuously. Once you verify that it can handle the speeds, it is pretty safe.

    Good advice, thanks! Also is £45 good for a 9700? I think thats about $70? And I was wondering if i could rundoom 3 with ultra graphics, which its says in the game it recomends 512 mb graphics card but i dont think thats matters too much I think is the memory band width an fill rate etc.
