    some questions first:

1 - What kind of game do you want to make?
2 - Given the kind of game, what kind of graphics/sound/etc do you want it to have.
3 - Are you looking to build it from the ground up, or do you have some sort of automatic "Click and play" type scenario in mind"

Do you know any programming languages? This is like asking "Does anyone know how to perform a liver transplant or know a quick tutorial on one?"

This is not something that can be "taught" over a forum. You need to educate yourself - get a book, start reading some online tutorials, learn C++, small things like that.

Okay, then... Step 1: Learn C++ and learn a graphics API such as DirectX or OpenGL :)

Post back when you're done and we'll give you step 2 :mullet:

Okay, now with your new found knowledge, pick a game engine. Since you are know a knowledgeable C++ programmer with in-depth info on DirectX and OpenGL, you should pick an engine to use. If you want to make a 3D game, you should look into the Quake III engine or the Doom III engine. Check out Source, too...

There's also www.garagegames.com, which has starter kits for various kinds of games.

Oh, you're gonna want to find a publisher too.

    Best of luck! :)

You could probably make a maze game with features using this software DIV but it ain't free.

A mate of mine gave me the boxed software version of DIV 4 years ago cos he couldn't get his head round it, I haven't ever looked at it, to be honest.

btw, quickest grasp of C++ I ever did see, you be that Data fella from Star Trek?
