Hi, someone of you can say to me which is the better one bios for overclocking of the IS7?
Thanks to all!
I've had no experience with this board, so I have no reason to think the latest isn't the best overall for stability.
Try the latest and see how you get on. I can't imagine with ABIT boards that there will be too much of a difference between them with respect to Overclocking. Most of the BIOS release's I imagine will just be compatiblity fixes and minor bug stamps. Unless someone else more familiar with that board has anything else to add....
Why not always l' last bios it is the best one for l' overclocking.
I have watercooling system, I am successful to install windows to 280mhz of FSB with my P4 "C" 2.66, but after 30 min I have made the reboot and the motherboard did not see more the controller raid on bus Pci. Perhaps it is a problem of heat on the northbridge or the bios?
is it prime95 stable @ 280fsb? unless it is , then your oc is too high and no BIOS update will fix it. 280fsb for a 2.6c is way high---most people are lucky to get 3.2/3.4.
That being said, you may have a killer overclocking chip, but your mobo can't handle that much speed. what do you have cooling your northbridge right now?
