Don't know where to start....

Basically I have already ran S&D, AdAware, AVG, and Mcafee (the one my school lets us have for free which isn't the most up to date one). I told my computer to show all files... I ran all the scans in safe mode and regular mode. Each time I run them I get rid of a ton of adaware and trojans (downloaders and trojans and all kinds of crap)

They come back!!! My computer won't let me go to any websites that it thinks are going to help me... no joke!! Symantec.com, Mcafee's site, sophos... and some times when i run a search for the name of one of the trojans that were found it won't let me go to some of the sites it found. I also can't do anything that requires a password (checking my e-mail...) which makes it hard for me to post in here from my computer. However I can read posts in here... just can't post them myself. ALSO my computer won't even turn on right half the time... it will like start to come on and I'll be able to see the background of my desktop and then it just sits there. Sometimes when I turn it on it will turn all the way on but pretty much just to open up its website (blank white sites with IP addy's) and it downloads its crap and we start all over. I wish I could post a Hijack thing but I haven't got that on my computer yet and don't know if I can... but I'm going to go back to my apartment and try so I'll have to save the log to a disc and hopefully borrow the roomies computer to get it on here...

If anyone can help though PLEASE PLEASE help me = :(

Thanks~ Brandi

Little update.... I got Hijack This and gave it its own folder in my C drive... and I extracted the files and now i click to open it and the screen comes up for like 2 seconds and goes away. So I started running AVG again because now McAfee is disabled and if I enable it it just pops up as disabled again before I can start....

SO AVG has found a trojan called "Collected.AE" which is the most recent thing it finds EVERY scan.

    Help me please.... :bawling:

Well... after much trouble and work i finally got my computer to restart in safe mode... and I deleted the stuff I was suposed to.... but I know its not fixed because as soon as I came back on in regular mode my AVG found the same crap it always does... and the blank websites popped back up and my boyfriend started yelling at me because I hit the thing. So here's the log (however its from running in safe mode because thats the only way I can run hijack:

Don't worry, we are getting somewhere :). With hijackthis, you may be able to run it by moving it to another directory. So, instead of where you now have it, move the hijackthis folder to My Documents or somewhere. Try running it again in normal mode. If still no good try renaming the hijackthis.exe to anything else and try again. This method has been known to work.

Scan with hijackthis and tick the boxes next to all the following entries, then close all browser and explorer windows, and hit the "Fix checked" button.

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [winlogin.exe] C:\WINDOWS\paint.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [notepad.exe] C:\WINDOWS\sysconfig.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NT Logging Service] syslog32.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Tsl] C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\tsa\tsl.exe

    O9 - Extra button: Ebates - {6685509E-B47B-4f47-8E16-9A5F3A62F683} - file://C:\Program Files\Ebates_MoeMoneyMaker\Sy350\Tp350\scri350a.ht m (file missing) (HKCU)

    In safe mode delete these;

    C:\WINDOWS\paint.exe< file
    C:\WINDOWS\sysconfig.exe< file

    C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\tsa< folder

Search for this one and delete it too; syslog32.exe< file

Let me know how you go.

Sorry for the long delay.... I was away in Michigan for Thanksgiving... nice break from dealing with this stuff!!! :)

I was unable to find a PROGRA~1 in my C drive. I also could not find a syslog32.exe on my computer with the search. However I did get HJT to work by renaming it. Some progress I guess.

I am thinking that PROGRA~1 is Program Files.
You may have to 'show hidden files/folders.' Instructions on how to here.

Open Task Manager & end process on the following:
    libsysmgr.exe

Then go to C:\WINDOWS\System32 and delete that file manually.

Scan with hijackthis and tick the boxes next to all the following entries, then close all browser and explorer windows, and hit the "Fix checked" button.

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [PowerDirector] C:\WINDOWS\Temp\TPDIR\setup.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Microsoft System Checkup] libsysmgr.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NT Logging Service] syslog32.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Microsoft System Checkup] libsysmgr.exe

    With all hidden files\folders set to show, boot into safe mode and delete these;

    syslog32.exe

Clear out your Temporary internet files and other temp files.
Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel >Internet Options.

Under the General tab click the Delete temporary internet files,
delete all Offline content as well. Clear out Cookies.

Also, go to Start > Find/search > Files or folders > in the named box, type: *.tmp and choose Edit > select all -> File > delete.

Empty/delete the entire contents of the C:\Windows\temp folder and C:\temp folder, if you have one. (Contents but not the folder itself.)

    C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp\

    Empty the Recycle Bin.

Reboot normally after doing the above, rescan with hijackthis, then post that log here please.
