What OS? How about uninstalling, cleaning registry (RegCleaner), and then installing. Have you installed any program before installing NAV?

I havnt installed any other NAV before this.
I use Ad Aware SE 1.05 to help clean my computer and registry.

Im running on Windows XP Professional (SP1)

AFAIK, Ad-Aware only removes adware/spyware from the registry. RegCleaner is for removing uninstalled program's registry entries and anything else that it deems uneeded or invalid. You should also have Service Pack 2 (don't know if that would be the problem). I really have no idea what the problem could be cause it's never happened to me but only suggestion as of now that I could give is to run another anti-virus like AVG Antivirus or Avast Antivirus (free and work well) till you get that sorted. You could also try installing it on another PC. It can also be an OS problem so if you want, you can try a repair installation. Good luck and sorry if that didn't help much. Other than that, email/call Norton's tech support.

Have you checked the CD? It may have some dust or it maybe scratched.

Like BH said, try one of the free Anti-Viruses he mentioned.

Is there any sort of error message with this problem? Do you ever get to the product activation screen?
