Uhhh access denied?!

edited November 2004 in Hardware
Hi,

I'm new here. I'm trying to download the Serial ATA Windows IDE driver and I'm getting an access denied error, which then tels me I need to register. Well I wouldn't be able to post here if I wasn't registered... so that's not the problem. Can someone help me get to these drivers?

Thanks,
HP

If you go to the main page (www.short-media.com), does it say "Welcome back humanpixel" at the top? If not, go to the very bottom of the page (www.short-media.com), login, and try again.

I was trying to download a Folding file from a link and had the same problem you describe, and I was indeed logged in.

There is a system designed to prevent other sites from leeching our bandwidth by surreptitiously linking to our files. It prompts you to copy a code into a box for verification. (It gives you the code on the same page.)

The link I tried to use was embedded in another page. Try going straight from the main page to the Download section and working through from there. That's the only way I was able to get it to work.

I'll mention this to the powers that be. :)

    Ok,

Thanks. I managed to get it. I was logged in, but I was still getting an error message. The way I actually got the file was by searching for it on Google. The correct link to the download came up in the search results.

    Thanks,
