Anyone tried nVidia System Utility on Asus A7N8X-VM?

Hi all:

I've got an A7N8X-VM/400 board on which I really need to run a mobile Athlon. Since the mobile athlons are unlocked, I need to be able to adjust the clock settings on the board-otherwise I'll have a 2500+ XP-M that runs at the default of...what was it...600 MHz or something like that.

So I've been trying to figure out way to change clock settings on the A7N8X-VM/400 . So far, I've come up with the upgradeware hardware device to adjust the multiplier:
http://www.upgradeware.com/english/product/xptmc/xptmc.htm

or trying nVidia System Utility or nTune on the board,
http://www.nvidia.com/object/sysutility_1.08.5.html
even though Asus doesn't officially support it.

Has anyone tried either piece of nVidia software on this board? If so, how did it go?

Thanks in advance.

Shplad

While I am not familiar with this board, since it is based on the nf2 chipset, I would think that there are some settings in the bios for this? Have you checked there?

    Thanks for replying.
Nope. I've done tons of research. In terms of the setup utility menus, the BIOS has absolutely no controls for clocking, voltage or anything.

That's why I want to try the alternatives.

you could try clockgen from here, but that just lets you change fsb:

(and only works on some mobos)
