1. Do I delete the .exe file for O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [ctfmon.exe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\ctfmon.exe?

2. I cannot find in the windows directory or system 32 directory the following files, I do have show hidden files and folders on. What am I doing wrong?

3. Where are the other .dll files in 04 to delete?

    We'll start out with the easy stuff, then move onto HSA.

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Usrr] C:\Documents and Settings\Mike Leidy\Application Data\rpen.exe
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Gibj] C:\WINDOWS\System32\l?ass.exe
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Tsa2] C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\tsa\tsm2.exe

    Fix those entries then find and delete the files listed above, reboot and post a new log.

    Also, do NOT remove ctfmon.exe. That is a file that is required by the Operating System.

    when looking for the files to delete when working on HSA look in your C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch folder, in every XP encouter i have had with this virus over the last 3 weeks, thats where the "main" file was. look got such files as javamu.exe
