Reinstalling XP on a partitioned hard drive

Hey I was just wondering,
I have been having some problems with windows XP and was going to reinstall it.

I have my two drives in Raid 0, and then I partitioned it into 4 parts (Games, Program Files, Documents, and Windows). I am wondering, when I reinstall Windows on the C: drive will I have to reinstall all my programs on the other D: E: F: drives. I figure all my files will be fine, but with the registry, I wasn't sure if the programs (and games) will still work.

Thanks in advance for the help,:respect:

u will have to re-install your programs etc...

    ..but..

...have u thought about winXP's repair option? it just replaces the windows folder with a fresh new one and u dont lose any of your programs (u do need to install service packs, directX and any other patch again tho)

just boot with the winXP cd and when it gets to the part where it asks you what u want to do (install windows / repair windows / quit etc.) try the repair (type (R) option, it might fix ur problem

    fc

p.s. dont confuse the repair option with the recovery console (also says type (R)) they are two totally diff things

Yes wait until you get to the point where you can make partitions and such otherwise you get a DOS prompt.

A repair install does not fix everything tho.

    Thanks for the help,
I have actually already tried the repair feature and it seems to have done nothing. I am just going to reinstall, cause I know that will fix it.

    Thanks Again,
