Different Services.exe starting?

metomeyametomeya New
edited December 2004 in Spyware & Virus Removal
In startup I have

"Services logon" C:\Documents and Settings\John Smith\Templates\services.exe

and

"Services startup" C:\Program Files\Common Files\services.exe

In my "Run Once" and my "HKCU / Run"

I've tried deleteing them, but they keep returning, the "services logon" points to a place that doesn't exist, while my "services startup" points to a services that is 9kbs, (the normal one found in windows/system is about 100kbs). I tried deleting the program, but it came back.

Is this a trojan or virus of some sorts, or just a bug?

You certainly have at least one virus. Please do an online virus scan and let it remove everything it finds.

    http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

After the virus scan please download the current version of hijackthis and post a new log.

Ya, I didn't think it was a virus cause i have antivir, however i just realized my monitoring program wasn't launching at startup.

Anyways I had the TR/Click.Verzil.A.3 trojan, and the TR/Spy.Serike.2, those created the services crap. I remember winpatrol detected services being added to Run Once at startup, when I uninstalled a program, but I thought it was to finish the uninstall.....bastards ;D:wtf:

Funny how google gives no info on these trojans neither does Antivir virus library. I guess spyware has gone viral

Spy.Serike.2 seems to be a spying device,

Click.Verzil.A.3 seems to be a redirecting trojan to increase hits on certain websites.

Thought I would mention it since this might be the only things that people will find on google once the web crawlers come and find this page, GO google search the web.

    TR/Click.Verzil.A.3
    TR/Spy.Serike.2
    Click.Verzil
    Spy.Serike

is all i used to search the internet for.
