NF7s doesnt detect my cpu

I have had this issue, as it is not a problem, ever since I purchased and isntalled my AthlonXP 2600+ M. M for mobile. Its a great processor, and I have no problems. I just have a strange issue where my motherboard, and inherently windows, detects my cpu as "Uknown CPU Type running at 2200mhz" Im clocked at (11x200 btw).

I do not recall the date on my BIOS, but I have an Abit NF7s rev2. Im pretty sure I updated my BIOS within the last couple of months too, I know it is not old.

So my question is, since I know many of you have the same cpu/mobo, do you have the same experience? Thanks! :D

Desktop motherboards only know how to run a mobile CPU. There's no interpretable CPUID string.

My 2400 XPM says the same thing. Dont worry about it.

It has to do with the extra bridges that are cut on the mobile XP's, so that the bios doesn't recognize what processor you have exactly. The NF7S bios's don't have the mobile configurations written into them, but they run just fine on the NF7S anyways. If you were really worried about this you could connect the extra blown bridges, but that is way more trouble than it's worth. :)
