ATI Radeon 9800 Pro with samsung memory chips?

edited December 2004 in Hardware
Does anyone know where I might be able to find one? I know, it's really late to be trying to get one, but still... it never hurts to ask, right? Ebay used to be in abundance with these things. But I have yet find a single one... someone please help me.

Does anyone know when Newegg generaly restocks their supply of these things? They're currently sold out at the moment...

EDIT: Nevermind. Newegg says they useualy have sold-out items back in stock within a week.

EDIT EDIT: I am having a question... if I buy the Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro RETAIL, am I garunteed Samsung memory chips? All reviews via newegg.com say Sapphire makes all their 9800 Pro cards with samsung chips. Has this changed since the release of said reviews?

I'm assuming Hynix memory isn't has good as Samsung. How do they compare in terms of overclocking?

I swear if I get Infinion (or, 'inferion' as I like to call it) memory chips, i'm returning my card right than and there. They won't overclock for crap and are slower than Hynix and Samsung chips, from what i've been told/heard.

Ghaleon4, are who talking about the 9800pro from newegg? Are you sure it was the sapphire card? I got mine for $209 (some time last month) and last time i checked it was still $209

Actualy (aside the Video Card) the specs I listed are all components I already have in my rig. What do you recommend I upgrade?

No problem. So, how do you think my rig will handle half-life 2 and such?

I think it should handle it well. You can tweak the card and the software to preform well. Don't expect the highest fps or anything just stay middle of the road on feature settings and you should be ok.
