Asus, ABIT & MSI are my top 3 choices for desktops.
Tyan for workstations & servers.
But if I had to narrow it down to 1, it would be Asus.
Excellent support, quality products, proper English manuals and accessories galore. RMA's are nice and quick and products are supported for their entire lifecycle.
They may not look pretty (they still use that ****ty orange/brown PCB), but for a dependable board, at stock speeds or overclocked speeds with great performance, Asus is where it's' at.
I'm kinda supprized that so many of you are saying the same thing I was thinking when I first saw this thread.
In order of what I like Abit, Asus, and MSI. To me Abit builds the best overclockers and is one of the first to set the bar high for other manufactures to reach in overclocking. Asus is great but I find they don't overclock as well but mghz being equal they bench a little higher than Abit, in the end though Abit wins since it overclocks higher. MSI has without a doubt the most trouble free mother boards that I know of.

I think that after this discussion that I would be inclined to give MSI a try again as I don't mess with OC'ing very much and demand a stable motherboard. The abit has fulfilled that and has features galore. This has also changed my outlook on DFI too. If they are designed or have direction from a guy that used to work for Abit that's a big plus.

I second that.
1st - Epox
2nd - Abit
3rd - MSI
And I've RMA'd a board or two from each manufacturer. And I've had good experiences with each one's RMA dept
