Vits5 - New Hijack log

edited December 2004 in Spyware & Virus Removal
Hi,

I've fixed the entries, but when trying to locate and delete: 4 couldn't be found, 2 were found but I was unable to delete and 1 was deleted. By the way, how do I find the 'trusted site" ...com files? Do you search for them like regular files? I rebooted and the new log is listed below. Thank you.

Whoever is reading this...I'm not sure, since I'm new to forums, whether I should be creating a new thread each time I perform the steps recommended, or whether I should be replying directly to the person who gave me the suggestions. Any info you can share is appreciated. Thanks sooo much for your time and patience!

The "trusted Sites" are located in your registry. I'd reccomend letting HJT fix them, as messing with the registry is very risky.

Fix those entries then find and delete the files listed above, pull the plug on your computer, and post a new log.

Also, do not reboot normally or use Internet Explorer (use Firefox instead) until I say your log is okay. After you follow the steps, reply in this same thread with your new log.

Hi and thanks, but a quick question regarding your instructions: Where do I find Foxfinder - I'm not familiar with it.

    Hi again,
OK, so I fixed the entries, but once again I was unable to locate and/or once located, I was denied the ability to delete files (e.g. wgrsijfp.exe - won't allow me to erase). Also, the Trusted Zone *.frame.crazywinnings.com for instance keeps coming back even though I fix thru HJT. Anyway, listed below is the new HJT log. What do you think? Thanks again.

    Hey,
The trojan that I've been infected with is Backdoor-BDD. Should I still go to the sites you recommend?
