Download window wont appear

Hi i have accidentaly unticked the box on the window that appears when you dowload off the net to ask what you want to do, in other words i dont get the option of whether i want to open or save file

im sure this is easy to fix!! im running xp if that helps!!

    I haven't used IE in like a year so I may be rusty. That option should be under "Advanced Options" tab in Internet Options. Try and see if it's the "Enable Install On Demand (Other)" option (see if it's unchecked). If that's not it, you could always try resetting those advanced options or IE's settings.
