suggestions for downloading Digital camcorder movies
Hi All,
I had thought about paying some local shop to do the dubbing, but the more I think about it, the more I want to buy the right gear to do the capture myself. I guess once you do two or three dubs you end up spending the same amount of money, so I may as well upgrade my system than not, right?
So presently I have:
PC: P4 1.5, 512 MB SDRAM, ATI 9200 128MB, and
Camera: Panasonic PV-DV203D-K Mini-DV ocamcorder/still camera
Do you guys suggest that I
A) buy a new vid card that has both abilities (TV in/out and regular gaming needs) or
B) Buy a piggyback card? I am leaning on buying the new combo card, as if I understand this setup right, I need a TV tuner card to be able to run the movie camera into my PC. It comes prewired for hookups to TV/PC, so that is not an issue.
I am not pre-disposed to ATI, although I have to say the one I have now has been flawless, no crashes whatsoever.Any suggestions on capture software would be a bonus.
