on-screen display missing

:scratch: my on-screen display file is missing it use to be in the control panel area and has vanished :bawling: . its still in the add/remove program area. im running windows 98 se
i would like to have it back so if anyone knows how to get it back please tell me.

    Is this a laptop you are using?

    no its a (desktop) compaq presario 7922 with 550 monitor :rolleyes:

    :scratch: Why do you need an onscreen display? Are you sure the buttons on your monitor are working?

    soory it took so long to get back its a desk top and i dont "need" onscreen display i dont like things to come up missing but it could be this monitor i a new one and just though it came with it like that last one
