Since prime hasn't shown up yet, I'll say it for him: memtest.

This indicates a memory problem. If you never had this before your new HD was installed it could be a case of a Virtual Memory (space on your HD acting as extra memory) problem.

Can you get into Safe Mode? If so, try upping your VM setting. It may force Windows to reallocate the whole shebang - if that is the problem.

This problem can also be caused by two devices claiming the same memory range. If you did a fresh install on your new HD try doing it again, but this time remove all extra devices (sound card, NIC, etc) and disable any onboard devices (sound, LAN, USB, etc) you might have. If you can get it to go, add them back in one-by-one.

ive ran memtest about 2 weeks ago for about 4 hours and everything was fine, i according to the event viewer the screen happened about the time the defualt screensaver kicked in, in both cases old drive and new, i was using the Cat 4.12 beta drivers, since lst night i switched to the 4.11 officeal and it didnt freeze over the night, i also updated the SB Live drivers to the full package and found new drivers for my gigabit nic, considering it hadnt frozen before i installted the drivers for them

i searched alot of forums, and it seems to be a driver problem on most, i sure hope it was the 4.12 beta drivers

Now that would definitely qualify as a forced upgrade. ;D
