DSL Accelerator!!??

Hi,
I have SBC Yahoo! DSL and i was looking at some sites, and they say that they have a program (Accelerator) that can speed up my internet. Is this true or just a bunch of BS?? If it is true, what is the best one?

    Probably some program for "enhanced" caching. I believe it only works for sites you visit frequently and it does nothing for downloads.
