offer optimizer

Hi, have been getting xadsj-o.offeroptimizer popup alot. Have run spybot and noadware, both of which have failed to cure this problem. Have block this in my netgear dg834, but the popup continues even though all i get is 'blocked by netgear'. This is totally doing my head in. Have read many forums and tried many different solution, but have wound up here with my HJT report.

    Boot into Safe Mode
    Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode. To get back to normal mode just restart the computer as you normally would.

    Many thanks, have done as requested and new results are below.

    satmat.exe was only file not to exist.

    However, now when i reboot my system normally, i get 2 errors:

    1.
    'Invalid Ref File
    your reference file appears to be corrupt or damaged. would you like our software to retieve the latest file from our update server?'

    2.
    'LiveUpdate
    Cannot connect to update servers please make sure you are connected to the internet'

    For now i have said no unless otherwise instructed by yourself.

    Your log is clean, but it looks like something nasty is trying to get you to reinstall it. Disregard those error messages and perform these steps to see if it gets rid of them.

    Download, run, and configure Adaware

    Download Ad-aware SE from: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download506.html

    Install the program and launch it.

    First, in the main window, look in the bottom right corner and click on Check for updates now and download the latest reference files.

    Next, we need to configure Ad-aware for a full scan.

    Click on the Gear icon (second from the left) to access the preferences/settings window

    1. In the General window make sure the following are selected:

    * Automatically save log-file
    * Automatically quarantine objects prior to removal
    * Safe Mode (always request confirmation)

    2. Click on the Scanning button on the left and select :

    * Scan Within Archives
    * Scan Active Processes
    * Scan Registry
    * Deep Scan Registry
    * Scan my IE favorites for banned URL’s
    * Scan my Hosts file
    * Under Click here to select drives + folders, choose:
    * All of your hard drives

    Click on the Advanced button on the left and select:

    * Include additional process information
    * Include additional file information
    * Include environment information

    Click the Tweak button and select:

    * Under the Scanning Engine:
    o Unload recognized processes & modules during scan
    o Include additional Ad-aware settings in logfile
    * Under the Cleaning Engine:
    o Let Windows remove files in use at next reboot

    Click on Proceed to save the settings.

    Click Start and on the next screen choose Activate in-depth Scan at the bottom of the page and then choose:

    * Use Custom Scanning Options

    Click Next and Ad-aware will scan your hard drive(s) with the options you have selected.

    Save the log file when it asks and then click Finish

    When finished, mark everything for removal and get rid of it. (Right-click the window and choose Select All from the drop down menu and click Next).

    Reboot your computer.

    Get an online virus scan here.

    Run the adaware and found 117 critical objects, all of which have now been cleaned, but one or two of the options were not available in the settings.

    Click on the Advanced button on the left and select:

    * Include additional process information
    * Include additional file information

    I got

    * Include additional object information
    * Include negligable obbjects information

    * Under the Scanning Engine:
    o Include additional Ad-aware settings in logfile

    I managed to fix the first error, 'Invalid ref file' by uninstalling 'noadware' from my system.

    But the 'liveupdate' screen continues to appear upon bootup. But when i click the ok button, spy bouncer loads so i think it is to do with that?

    Spy Bouncer is a rogue/suspect program. I recommend uninstalling it.

    ok, i got it from another forum from someone who had a similar problem to myself and their answer was that program, will uninstall now tho.

    My original problem is most definately cured now, so i give you big thanks in your help.

    Many thanks.
