Firefox wont start

Hi,

I've installed firefox 1.0 on a mate's computer this afternoon.

Installations finishes ok, but when I launch it, hoping it asks me to make it the default browser, it simply splashs this:

error%20firefox.jpg

Wich means: "Windows can't acces to the specified device, path or file. You may have not the needed rights to acces the element."

This happens when trying to execute it, not installing.

This is an admin account. The only one on the computer. Guest account is disabled. Windows XP SP1 every critical patch installed. No SP2.

Pretty clean computer too, according Ad-Aware.

I have reinstalled twice. And then uninstalled and tried to install again from a new admin account I created. Still nothing.

I have no idea what's happening...

Any ideas are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

My advice reinstall firefox in a new location.

I can't think of anything that would cause that.

After messing around a lot with permissions, just installing on c:\FireFox worked ok.

    So you were right, GrayFox.

I still have no idea what's happening when installing on the default location but oh well! it works and it's not my computer... I think I have contributed enough to the "Spread FireFox" thing installing it on my friends's machine :)
