Wild Tangent?

From what I have heard, wildtangent is a common ad ware. I have just found it in my E:// drive under windows. I believe my ad-aware prgram has not caught it. Is there anyway to rid of wild tangent for good?

    Spybot S&D and the newest Adaware (Personal, free version) SE can kill that well, yes. I've used both (some sites feed that), and if you hop to the main page for this site and get into the downloads you can grab either or both. Main site page URL is:

    I just looked at the last two words of your post; "for good." I scan my box weekly and about every fourth week I find a baby wild tangent on my XP box. Adaware Pro, the paid version, can keep that from loading, but you might find one site you go to will not work if it cannot feed Wild Tangent. It is not a really damaging viral per se, it simply feeds ads, so Adaware is what I use most often to kill it. I just live with it and kill it when occassionally found during a weekly scan.
