Problem removing HSA (bogus service) - golfmaster

Hi guys!
This is my first time here and must i'm really amazed. I have McAfee and on their forum, they sent me here (if I get it right, theses guys are paid to help us and they refer us to you, who are doing this for "fun"?). Long story short, amazing job!!

But still, I have a problem, that may be easy....
So, i have HSA
I ran ad-aware and spybot plus a virus scan, all of this updated.

My problem is that I cannot find the bogus service. I need to say that I have a french version of XP, but I except to have an english bogus service. I don't think they translate the virus....;)
so I tried "Get Active Services" which didn't work properly (windows script host, line 25, colum 1)

well....there's a new thing....I got an other virus, much worst than HSA...It's called windows service pack 2... I read some thread and I decided to updated windows but during the install of service pack 2, my computer crash and I couldn't get it to load windows anymore, even in safe mode. You know, when you have the black screen with the small cursor flashing but you cannot even write...so I decided to format the whole thing, I think this is less trouble then trying to save it where I was...So I think I got rid of HSA at the same time but I didn't have time to make sure....So thank you anyway, but I don't think I'll need your kind help...
well just a question to finish, do you think my computer didn't want to boot after I reset it because I desaebled the restore memory thing?

anyway, thank again, but I think I free of it now!

Service Pack 2 (SP2) is not a virus. It is an update for your Windows XP OS (operating system), which sometimes causes problems with the computer.

I was just kidding...I just though it was funny(not that much) that I had to format because of windows and not because of HSA. May be some one better would have solve the problem but everything is perfect now, I reinstalled windows and service pack 2 with no trouble.

But is there a way to make I don't get HSA anymore or I just have to be careful?

You can download Spyware Shooter (link in my signature), which will protect you from getting infected by many sites that are infected with HSA and other kinds of spyware. Other than that, just be careful and scan with Ad-Aware at least once a week.
