Nvidia GF2 / MX400

hmmz, yes it's a very old card, but it used to work better on Win98. I've just installed XP (i am a 98 diehard :p) and i just can't find the right drivers for this card. I tried 5 from the nvidia.com, but there is always a problem. Im talkin about problems in games like CS and SOF2. My mouse isnot reacting on my moves in times there is much happening in the screen (if u know wotta mean). It's not a ussual lag, it's even more frustating. So i tried older ones... but then its the doesnot runs fluently.... in the newer one that is better but i still got that strange lag... I can't imagine it's my mouse or mainboard... in win98 it all worked well
can someone help me with this problem?

Maybe it's something other than video? Have you installed the needed drivers? XP does use more resources so maybe you need more ram or a faster CPU. What are your current specs?

You need another 256mb stick of ram. XP has more things running in the background and alot more eye candy then 98. Till then, try changing the OS theme to classic (Right click on desktop > Properties > Drop down menu > select classic and hit ok).

Yeah, there's your problem. Win98 uses a LOT less RAM than WinXP. 256 is the practical minimum for WinXP, whereas Win98 ran quite happily with 64. So what's happening is you are probably loading a game and the computer is going into virtual memory since it's out of RAM, which will slow you WAY down.

You need more RAM, my friend.
