What would be the best 200 GB drive (Not too expensive though)?

I want to buy a new 200 GB drive.

But I am all confused now.
My options:

PATA vs. SATA
Seagate vs. Western Digital vs. Maxtor

I have two WD drives, and they are performing very well.

Maybe I will be able to get a Maxtor DiamondMax 10 at a very good price.
But is that a good harddrive or what?

Oh BTW: I will receive a Plextor PX-716 tomorrow. ;D

well, i will throw in my vote for WD 200gb SATA....I have 2 of them in my rig and i couldn't be any happier...they are all black and shiny now too---not silver and black like a typical hdd.

Hmm that version isn't even available here in Denmark.

We have the one with SATA (6B200M) price $147

The one with PATA (6B200P0) is priced at: $126

Why is hardware so cheap in the U.S? :wtf:

What can I say? You are a very unlucky human being. ;)
    I won't even touch Hitachi(IBM)

    Sound nice
I wonder if they are available in Denmark?
Is it all models, or one series in particular?

My seagate (120 SATA) is also very loud when it's reading or writing. My Samsung (120 SATA) is near dead silent, and works great.

You guys are not making this easy. ;)

But it seems that I shouldn't get the Maxtor drive, even though it is cheap.:wtf:

What would be the best WD model?
They have JB, JD, PB, SB, SD?
Allthough it looks like JD and JB are the only ones available in 200 GB sizes.

Personally, I've started switching over to Seagate drives on any new purchases because they give a 5 year warrantee on their drives. The 160 gig Seagate SATA drive I got recently runs nice and quiet and quick. :D

Never had any issues with any of my HDD's I have owned except the Death Star GxP60(or whatever it was) I RMA'd twice, then sold the third one before ever opening the package.
