I'd like some critiques

I made it this morning, about to begin programming it. I don't know flash very well yet so to get it started I'm just going to use Director and build an executable. Curious what you all think of the design of it, it's actually my first to be like this, I played around with various things all night, really started getting into it as I began learning how to do these type things. I neverw as a big photoshop kinda guy, but it's pretty easy. Of course, I've always dispised bevel and emboss, but I think I may have found a decent use for it.

If you had described it to me without my having seen it I would have probably thought I wouldn't like it, especially the color choices.

But having seen it, I think it looks excellent. Very nicely done.

Looks like a cross between something they'd uncover in Egypt and high-tech, pretty snazzy.

I like it too... i have down some very similar interfaces, but not with that exact color template. I have a couple of good pictures of rust if you are interested in adding more texture, just let me know.

My only suggestion is to not have the whole thing be so static. I know i am only looking at a .jpg, but i would sugggest to have the section on the right be hiden and then slide-out/materialize only when needed.

Maybe some kind of connectors between all of the different modules---like an electrical conduit or something. You could animate them with pulses of energy/electricity.....ahh good ol' falsh...it's been too long.

Yeah, I may go further with this project, but I don't like to delve too deep with new things, not anymore at least... I learned my lesson ;)

I just need a few goodies to add to my portfolio, so maybe my next design will incorporate much more detail, especially in the animated ambience area.

The embosses seem too glossy for the stonework I think you're trying to portray.

By the way, I like the faint RGB spots by the fusion digital media text. :D

If you recall the Atomic Particle Movie I started on a couple weeks ago or so, it's a frame from that I cleaned upf or this project. I'm saddened that it was one of the things that got "destroyed" recently.

BTW, just in case of future comments, this is supposed to be a fullscreen interface for a Hybrid CD/DVD. Just thought I'd mention it in case someone felt it was too big ;)

Here is the updated one, other than some extra goodies for appearance I don't think I am forgetting anything. As someone mentioned before I do I want to add in some things like wires and such that are animated so you see things move around a bit, electricity flowing through circuits and such.

But for now I want to finish this by 5PM EST so I can get on my way back to Texas.

    http://fusion-dm.net/flash/

Give it some time, I haven't quite finished it yet it needs some preloaders, loaders, and more content... I am doing some minor animations right now, but I still need alot of content.

So again, itmay be slow on loading. Most notibly the music.

This is supposed to be a Hybrid CD BTW, I'll have a better web version in a couple days. MUCH MUCH better :D
