USB Connector won't work!

Hello there guys!

I recently bought a usb connector to download more storage from my laptop. However, for some reason, it is not doing the job.

Can you help me on this, please?

    can we get a few more details, what item exatly, what laptop and to what your transfering to, what your transfering?

    Laptop - Acer Travelmate 530
    Connector - 256mb flash drive from Play.com
    Transferring - music files

    still need more info on what the Flash Drive not doing.

    Did you install the drivers for it?

    I did install the driver, but for some reason the the laptop cannot recognise the flash drive.

    When I put it in and try to put a sample file on the flash drive, the laptop had no icon that displays the flash drive when it is ready to transfer.

    Does this drive need to be formated first?
    What OS are you running?
