Can i get someone ISP if i have their IP?

hi guys, im hoping you can help me punish a few idiots.

Im a online gaming dude, who is in a clan etc etc.

For some reason, 3-4 people have decided they want to cause as much trouble for us as possible.

They came onto our forum, flooded it with racist comments, child pornography, spam and viruses. no clan members suffered because i cut the link to the forum from the website down and removed everything, then banned these idiots IP addresses. We have no idea who these guys are, they are either a bitter clan who cant face they lost against us or just some idiots who woke up and decided to do this.

now it dont bother me if they wanted to be idiots but to flood us with child porn and viruses is why i want to punish them.

I have there IP numbers, is there a website that can trace there ISP? Email Addresses?

    Well since posted child porn, you could always take it to the FBI.

    well im from england so it wouldnt be the FBI here :P

    but anyway, waht website or tool can i use to detemine there ISP so i can make a complaint and get this loosers banned?

    www.samspade.org

    Put in the ip in the "do stuff" section and it will tell you who the ip is registered too.

    eg. 82.42.***.*** = 82-42-***-***.cable.ubr05.live.blueyonder.co.uk

    Well then go to your local police. Even if you go to their ISP, they'll go to the police cause AFAIK, what he did is illegal.

    exactly. If you do vigilante crap, you're no better than them. If you take it to the law, they are totally screwed. Plus, if you take it to the law, they might actually be able to do something about it, whereas if these clowns are better than you at the intarweb, you could just get pwned even worse.
