With your response on what to do , i would also like to know where how i got this and where its porably coming from so that i dont get it again in the future. THanks
  • edited December 2004
Thanks . It sounds like you know what yor talking about and im gonna wait to see what these guys says , and fix what they say. Theyll porably say what u say but thanks a lot. Have you gotten rid of this ****???

From looking your log, I see no DPFs that may have caused it, so it is most likely a drive by download. Many sites, for example, lyrics sites have ads that have driveby spyware downloads on them. Also P2P services are common ways of getting spyware.

Yea i have limewire and thats known to screw **** up. Does that mean just from having limewire im getting this or from things i downlaod. Ive had limewire for a while and just got this crap. But i do think i was using limewire the same day i got this.

    edited December 2004
It is most likely from something you downloaded from limewire.

ON the first file i try to delete QX.dll i go to delete it says cannont delete, acsess denied. How do i delete this.
  • SpywareShooterSpywareShooter 127.0.0.1
    edited December 2004
Try renaming the file to QX.xxx if you can't delete it. If you can't rename it, just leave it there until after. It will rename Itself and should be able to be deleted later on.
  • edited December 2004
i changed the extension to xxx but still couldnt delete it. I dont know what u mean by it will rename itself after. After what?
Right now im wokring down the list deleting the files u said.

    edited December 2004
You will need to reboot before you can delete the .xxx file. The files randomly rename themselves, so if you couldn't rename it, it would rename itself (next time you open Internet Explorer, I believe).
  • edited December 2004
ok . Most of the files i couldnt delete. I tryed renaming all of them with an extnesion xxx and still couldnt. I just restarted my computer. NOw what do i do? Look the files up again and try and delete them again?
  • SpywareShooterSpywareShooter 127.0.0.1
    edited December 2004
Yes, look up the files again (without any file extension) and delete what you find, then reboot again and post a new log.
  • edited December 2004
