Rockstar Releases Free Download Of GTA 2

Rockstar has released a free download of GTA 2. The game was originally released more than five years ago. In exchange for a registration, users can download the 353 MByte file for free.

Rockstar Games has been offering games which have been replaced by newer version or have vanished from store shelves as free downloads for a while now. Rather than leaving this field to the Abandonware community, the developer launched its "Classics" series, which had started with "Grand Theft Auto" (GTA) and was later continued with "Wild Metal".

Now the company realeased a free download of GTA 2. The game was originally released more than five years ago. In exchange for a registration, users can download the 353 MByte file for free. According to the manufacturer, the game "has been completely optimized for play on modern PCs".

It isn't a swamped server, the download just doesn't exsist and neither do any other classic at the moment.

Check "I Agree" then hit submit and you will be taken to a page that says.

Hopefully they fix it soon or a mirror (illegal as it is) is somehow found on another site even though no one can download the file.
