ati2evxx.exe

I've asked this before but it's happening again.
I used to disable this in services prior to the current 4.12 drivers but I find that keeping it enabled gives better performance now for some reason.

Anyway ...whether I need it or not I'd still like to know how to boot with only one of the "ati2evxx.exe" processes and not two after a driver install. Even if I end the process thru taskman I still get two when I reboot so it must be something in the registry or services.

If anyone can help I'd surely appreciate it ...

Thanks
csimon

They are in services, ATI HotKey poller and ATI Smart. Play about with those a bit...

I always disable them but I dont need every bit of performance. I would rather have the like 2mb of RAM back.

Chris: You have something messed up in your signature as well. ITs all one link.
