Nvidia are not very informative about stuff like that, so I'd have to say your guess is as good as mine.

I'm using it though, and it seems to work fine. Haven't tried a game yet though, will later tonight. I'll post if I have any problems.

    Cheers

Working great for me. It should work with all soundstorm nforce2 chipsets, with the exception of a chaintech model (more info on their site).

No, you have to go into your control panel and update it in the classic way.

I installed 4.57 and everything went fine. After that I also installed SP2 and now my center chanell and subwoofer are switched! Anyone has same problem or knows solution? Thanks

I installed these, hoping to sort out my rather crap sounding audio on a 5.1 speaker setup from a DFI Lan Party NFII Ultra B.

First, Winamp wouldn't work. Had to reset output to defaults.

MS Media Player 10 - no problems.

Then the Nvidia control panel wouldn't open, kept getting an error.

So I reinstalled the Nvidia chipset drivers choosing 'No' each time I was prompted to overwrite a newer file. That sorted that one out.

But it still didn't sound right.

Then I noticed huntinforcash(guest)'s link above and tried that.

That sorted it out, now I know what I've been missing.

I suddenly have great sounding audio with signals coming from all the right places :)

I can't believe I've been suffering this since October.

So, mr cash, thank you very much for the link :) Help sometimes come from the most unexpected sources
