Trojan found, having problems removing it

Norton found a trojan on my comp (windows xp) and quarantine and deleted it. the file was acxproxy.dll. The file name may be off by a few letters but unfortunately I did not copy the name down before I lost it. I run adaware, hijack this and spybot s&d and clean the computer out of stuff I can see doesn't belong there, but they keep popping back up on reboot and also when windows starts a pop up add comes up out of no where. I did a complete system virus scan with an online version and the one I have on my computer and nothing shows up. Each time I run the adaware or spybot after rebooting something new pops up. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

quick note. I just ran adaware and S+D in safe mode with hidden files open and it seems to have stopped. Does the log file look clean?? It's all chinese to me
