ibm thinkpad dying a horrid death

edited December 2004 in Hardware
hello all,

We were given a "broken" ibm thinkpad 380d. Upon starting the puter it game us the error message 0174. We had no access with any of the funtion keys, it would always gie us the error message 301 (stuck key).

We completely disconnected the hard drive and are able to get it to function in DOS and run some small dos based games (tetris).

Anyway to get to the matter at hand, I believe that the Hard drive has died. Does nayone have any suggestions on where to purchase another hard drive for this puter? It has a 1.3 GB in it now (the broken one) and should support up to 12 GB. We dont need very much space on this puter, as we only intend to run one small program on it, but we do need a protable puter to run this program as it is used for a teaching tool.

any suggestions?

love to all
