HSA/Trojan - Snowy North

Hey Folks -

Would appreciate any help you can give for doing the "Jimmy Hoffa-thing" with this HSA pest. Have tried following directions from McAf and Short Med forums, but to no avail so far. Have run my Viruscan, AdAware, SpyBot, Hijackthis, as well as hard booting, but HSA hangs in there like gum on my shoe. Tried downloading about:_:Buster also, but the web page seemed inaccessible.

Any suggestions?

After a couple days with no feedback (while other seemingly similar problems were being addressed), I found a way to access about_:Buster via another link and then worked thru the HJT log myself. It's required many, many hours of slogging thru the details (since I had no "professional" guidance), but it appears that the hijack has been twarted for now. I guess time will tell.

I realize you have only finite resources to employ, and this is a busy time of year, but it was somewhat discouraging for a "newby" to request help and not get any. Don't know if it related to a problem with my post or what??? .....or if two days with no response is common in this type of help forum??

Anyway, I hope my issue stays solved and that the forum is able to clean up the backlog sometime

Of course, none of this would be necessary if these loser/hackers who create and perpetrate these menaces would get a life and put their energies into some positive activity.
