No idea what is wrong with ethernet

A few days ago, i used Adaware and Spybot to rid my computer of spyware/adware. Since then (it was over a week ago yesturday), my internet is gone. I am on a DSL gateway... My ethernet card says i'm connected but i can't access anything on the internet, and under the "details" tab of my connection, the "IP Address" and such says "<Unavailable>". In the configuration window, it says that my device is working properly. I can't figure out what the heck is going on. Winstcokfix does nothing either.

try opening a command prompt and typing:

ipconfig /release

and then

ipconfig /renew

if that doesn't work, go ahead and post a hijackthis log.
