firefox hijacked!!!

Well, here's what's happening.... I have been using firefox since somewhere around v.93 and have updated a few versions along the way and now i am running the most current 1.0 version. I have had no problems with firefox until the day after x-mas when my girlfriend was using my pc and just surfing. She had checked her hotmail and her aol account, then closed down firefox. She remembered she needed to look up something else, so she opened firefox again, but this time it didn't open to my regular start page(newegg), instead it was this page....

And all of my bookmarks were gone! No warning or anything...everything just wasted, and i didn't have a backup b/c i am stupid and thought only IE gets jacked...

Well, i did the ususal things like spybot, ad-aware, spywareblaster, cwshredder_v2.12, and hjt_v1.99, and a full NAV05 system scan. Nothing out of the ordinary. A few DSO exploits found in spybot, but nothing to worry about. MY hjt log looks pretty clean, but i really haven't gone over too many of them recently so there mihgt be something new that i am not noticing.

So fast foward to today, when i restart my pc for the first time in a few days, and guess what? Firefox hompage has been changed again to the same mozilla/google start page! But my new bookmarks (all 4 of them that i added since sunday) are still there. So it seems that a restart initiates the hijack. My girlfriend can't remeber for sure if she restarted the pc last time she used it or not, but it could be a distinct possibility....

Mozilla.org is the official Firefox website, not a hijacker. Your log looks clean. Have you tried changing the homepage through the Browser Settings?

yes i have tried re-setting the homepage numerous times...it seems after a reboot, or at random, my homepage becomes the mozilla/google search page instead of whatever i set it as.
