how are the online user names ordered?

They look sort of alfa, but not really.
Sometimes mine is first, sometimes in among the 'e's'.
Just curious.

    They are ordered a-z :)

    You will always be first if you are logged in. If you log out and return to the forums home before your session times out (5 minutes) then you will see yourself in among those who share the same first letter of your nickname :)
