Home Search problem, Active.txt and hjt.log enclosed, advisement appreciated

Howdy, thank you for taking the time to read my problem. I am running Windows XP, Home Edition, and have encountered the BackDoor-BDD virus.

I have been following the Home Search Assistant Removal Guide, and am unable to find the bad service. I have only made it to Step 4, and then went to the Noted link to run Get Active Services, but was still unable to identify a bogus service.

I would very much appreciate any assistance. I have enclosed both Active.txt and hijackthis.log

    Hello,
    Just a quick recap: I was hit with the HSA infection in late December, and am attempting to remove it. I run McAffe on a Windows XP.
    I have also downloaded all the latest Ad-Aware SE, Sypbot also. However from reading other posts, I am at a loss for identifying the bogus service.

    After reading other posts I have run a few other logs in this order:
    1) Ran ServiceFilter.vps to get POST_THIS.TXT
    2) Ran DllCompare.exe to get log.txt
    3) Ran HijackThis.exe to get hijackthis.log

    Thank you for looking, and any help is greatly appreciated.

    :thumbsup: I think the problem is gone. I've read through many of the existing posts and by following some of the tips, I think I have identified the bogus files.
