Asus P4266-E will not power up at all
I have a problem with my computer, after I came home from a holiday (about three weeks) my
computer won't boot any more. When I turn on the power to my ATX power supply the onboard LED shines with a green color as usual, but the network led is not on as it used to be. When I try to power on the computer nothing at all happens, the computer seems entirely dead. What could the problem possibly be ? I figured since I have the onboard LED lighting up when the power supply is on, the main board should have enough power. I've also tried disconnecting all of my cards and disk drives and tried again, but still nothing happens.
It all ended up with me disconnecting everything, taking the main board out of the casing and putting it on a table. I then reconnected the power and the power switch and still nothing at all ... Any ideas ?
Thanks

You need to check the PSU. Disconnect everything and jumper it so that it will turn on. Then use a meter to check voltages.
It could also be a bad connection from the PSU. Look closely at everything. Don't trust your case switch either.

And it works ... The mainboard shouldn't be fried either since the computer was off and the power cords were disconnected while I was away ... strange indeed.
When I put a jumper on the power switch connector nothing happens either
