Uh Oh, Is there some kind of update available for dvd shrink codecs? I was trying to backup a new movie and recieved a failure prompt due to protection on the dvd. I hope this is just a fluke and we are'nt falling behind.. It was some chick movie so I was'nt really upset, I'd rather not have it on our shelf to begin with but I'm sure this will affect my movies at some point.

It says DATA ERROR, CYCLIC REDUNDANCY CHECK or FAILURE, COPYRIGHT PROTECTION, it varies on attempts.

My PC is down and it's very possible that this piece Im using is just that. A piece.
Another new release movie backed up just fine after repeated failures with the first movie on this same machine though.

Backing up movies technically violates their copyright, so in accordance with our site rules regarding copyrighted material, I am going to have to ask you to make this a private conversation. :)

    Thanks for understanding.
