Need some help
Ok, guy's please dont flame me on this but i was wondering,im about to build a computer for the first time with some help. I was wondering what are some good parts to get. I'm building it for gaming, but the only problem im having is money wise. I've only got about 700 to 800 bucks to spend. And i want to be able to have some good stuff and not that cheap crap. I was wondering if someone could help me with that. I would be very greatful thank you.

Your sig shows a 9800 Pro. That will last for a long time so you won't have to buy a new card at least.
-1 GB RAM (depending on your machine but it'll most likely be DDR).
-AMD Athlon 64 chip (I like AMDs, I'm biased). I have a 3400+ socket 754 and it ran me about $225. From what I've been reading from the other guys, go for a socket 939 Athlon chip.
-Mobo...not too sure about this. I have a nForce3 250 which runs fine, but I think the nForce4s are out. Of course, if you're on a tight budget, you might go with "yesterday's" technology. I think my mobo is technically yesterday :-(
-Big ass hard drive. I have STEAM and, with all the games I have on it (HL2, CSS, CS, CSCZ, CZ Deleted Scenes, HL Source, HL), it already eats 10 GB. I suggest waiting for a sale at your local Best Buy or CompUSA (I think C-USA has an 80GB for 50 bucks this week, 80 bucks if you buy 2, no rebates!).
-CD-RW with DVD-ROM. You'll probably start seeing a lot of games on DVD in the future.
-If you've got that 9800 Pro, you're set for a video card. That's the biggest chunk probably.
Calculations (Estimates)
Processor: $200
Mobo: $75
RAM: $150
CD RW: $60
HDD: $50
FDD: $20
Input devices (mouse, keyboard, etc): Depends (I go for free after rebate stuff, just me. Although I suggest Logitech mice...I do better in CS with them).
...and I think that covers it (assuming you have video card and monitor covered).
