i have had this problem now for a few months. sometimes my monitor will have this yellow tint that starts from the top of the screen and often goes away but can sometimes take over most of the screen temporarily. then it will stop and my monitor will work fine. just today it did the same thing but with a blue tint, which sent alarm bells ringing that it might be getting worse.

i have had it less than a year and still have the receipt

my question is if i take the monitor into pc world and this fault(it is intermittent)doesn't show up straight away, how am i gonna get a refund/replacement?

the monitor is a samsung syncmaster 152v

also has anyone else had similar problems with samsung monitors?

Before taking it in, make sure the VGA connector is nice and snug. Especially try jiggling it when you see the screen take a weird hue. I've seen a yellowed screen and it was just the connector...

If pc world won't replace it, get incontact with Samsung's warrantee department. I'm sure they will swap you out for a working monitor since it's less than a year old. I imagine that they have some kind of express replacement program.
