Will this be the next big thing for businesses or a huge false alarm generator? -KFThe solution is designed to scale across the enterprise, from laptops and desktops, to advanced servers. It allows distributed enterprises to manage a single Entercept system worldwide. The ePolicy Orchestrator management console can support up to 250,000 Entercept agents.
It supports XP Service Pack 2 and can be adapted to secure common enterprise database and web based applications, matching the security processes to the unique environments of differing enterprises.
"The threat of zero-day attacks continues to escalate, which can cause severe outages and financial impact to businesses of all sizes. It is vital that companies implement proactive security measures, such as the McAfee Entercept host intrusion prevention technology to ensure the availability, integrity and confidentiality of all systems, applications and data," said Vimal Solanki, director of McAfee IPS product marketing at McAfee, Inc.
