Using a mini dv as a webcam??

i have a canon ZR60 digital video camcorder, i want to use it as a webcam, is it possible??

how would i do this if it is possible?

Good question, I never looked into this myself, but I believe it's called USB Streaming.

I thought the zr60 could be used as a webcam with XP without any other drivers.

there is even a messanger add on for that model

I have a sony PC3 miniDV cam, it doesn't has USB, but firewire. Is there any "firewire streaming"?

I couldn't find anything for my camera on the internet.

I found there is a program called webcamDV that should work. Didn't tested it yet.
