wd hard drive partiton prob
I have a western digital hard drive and im trying to delete the partition on it.
I can see the partition exists when running fdisk from a Win ME floppy. The problem is that when it asks to confirm the volume label, it is written in small case letters which i cannot access in that screen. How do I access small case letters in the DOS(?) screen?
I have also tryed just using my xp disk when it asks to delete the partition and it says it does. Then it begins to format, but not entirely. An error message says it cannot complete the format because of a hard disk partition error.
Any ideas on how to correct this or is it a non- repairable hard drive issue?
