ok, woke up this morning to this annoying beeeeeeep-beeep coming from my desk area. first off i thought it was my UPS, then realized that my comptuer wasn't on and the power was.

then i realized that the case was making the sound. tried the power button
nothing. treid removing components one by one
nothing, still the incessent beeeeeep beeep. i'm trying letting the cmos clear for an hour or two after reading what happened to Leo a few weeks ago.

any ideas? i'm gonna go try a few more simple things (checking cards and the like) but please help!

I got the Beeeeep Beep b/c the vid card was not seated properly, and I forgot to flip the little agp clip to hold it on.

just check that t1, unfortunatly it wasn't that....

i'm not liking that link. aperently that's a "Repeating High/Low" that i'm getting.... CPU error. not good at all

    any ideas now? RMA?

just check the CPU again (physically), no scorch marks, nothing unusual, got it from eebuy, so RMA might be a problem (only thing is that i have to move into my dorm on saturday, so it'll be a while before i can get it back.

I'm still gonna try to wait for the CMOS clearing to happen, so i'll check the board around noonish

    so am i out $85?

have you cleared the cmos with the computer unpluggd and the battery removed?

also, do you have a different CPU to test it with?

I had this same thing happen to me but unfortunately I never found out what the problem was. I woke up to the same beeping and promptly started to freak out.
I cleared the cmos, tried booting with the bare essentials and got nothing. I then decided to pull out the CPU and take a look at it and there was no visible scorch marks or damage. I dropped an old Pali 1900+ into the board and it booted without issue.
Baffled, I decided to toss my seemingly undamaged 1700+ back in and low and behold, it booted! I still have no clue what the problem was but your best bet is to do as Shwaip suggested and try swapping in another CPU if you have one. Good luck.

um.... not sure where to catagorize this, can't tell if it's good or bad.

i put in my old 1700+ which i have in a kr7a-raid and well, got the same exact beep code. this sounds like the board is dead, but i'm honeslty not sure. any advice?

unfortunatly i can't test my chip, as i don't have any boards that can handle a 2500+ barton.

but seems to me that all fingers point to the board.

sounds like the board to me.

Just for kicks, make sure the RAM is seated completely, and try it in a diff slot

i personally don't think it's the board, i had the same EXACT problem, and it's stressing as hell, and i check the beep code it says its CPU problem, but i can sure tell u it's not CPU, it's the VIDEO CARD, try another video card.

My ti4600 died, and it started beeping like that, i tried everything besides trying another video card, and i couldn't figure out why, and finally i tried using a different video, VIOLA!!! works.

Only time my NF7-S beeps at me is when I have the motherboard utility running (winbond health monitor) and I have the limits set lower than the voltage and when the voltage exceeds the limits the mobo beeps.

    Sputnik

Can you also provide us with the version of your board and what bios you are running in addition to being overclocked or not and if so how much?
