Anyone know where to find the wire trick to unlock the higher multipliers? I know it can be found at www.overclockers.com , but they're down?

What mobo do you have? Most nF2 and KT400 boards will unlock the chip automatically. Also, the the chip is a 1700+ XP it should be factory unlocked.

Are you not wanting to unlock but set the multiplier yourself?

Try this, I don't know if it will help you or not: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,5926681~root=ocusa~mode=flat

That's the one i tried :) Didn't work. I'll have to try again I guess.

    I'm maxed at 12.5 x 170 right now, i need to get the multis above 12.5, and my 8k3a+ stops @ 12.5

This is the site that I use for figuring out what L3 bridges to connect or burn to change my multipliers. They also have an interactive pinmod guide too for changing the multi's but I rather do it on the proc itself via burning or connecting L3 bridges.

Good luck on changing your multiplier.
